Day 9 - February 22, 2007 - Thursday

Terry has been over-breathing his ventilator little by little. Today he was breathing on his own for 10 hours. Hopefully he will be able to be taken off the it soon. It is really tearing up his mouth and tongue. Lynn talked to a doctor on the phone and the doctor said that it could possibly come out Friday or Monday. When Terry had his back surgery, they made a brace (it sorta looks like a turtle shell) for him. Today was the first day he had the brace on and he was able to have his bed in a sitting position. His color was looking good and his swelling was starting to go down.
