Day 35 - March 20, 2007 Tuesday

When Lynn got to the hospital today, Terry was very upset. His valve on his trach was off and he couldn't talk. There was also a mix-up with his pain medication, which basically made everything seem out of order to him. After some discussion with the nurse and Lynn's input, Terry was able to calm down. Between his PT sessions today, he had several visitors. It was a little awkward because he couldn't talk (valve wasn't working). They ended up just taking the cap off of the valve. He would put his finger over the trach to talk which seemed to work. He was in his wheelchair from 8 to 12 and 2:30 to 6 pm for a total of eight hours. His endurance is improving.
