Day 10 - February 23, 2007 Friday

Today was fairly normal (well as normal as it has been since the fourteenth). Again Terry was breathing on his own - the ventilator was turned off. When Lynn went into his room around noon, the ventilator was gone (yeah!). He was trying to talk right away. It was very difficult to understand. He also seemed to be more alert. Terry was able to recognize his visitors. Everyone wanted to see him but unfortunately he got very wound up. He wouldn't rest and seemed to be very excited. The hospital staff was finally able to get him calmed down.
