Day 66 - April 20, 2007 Friday

Lynn arrived at HH around 8 am today. She and Terry worked on getting him ready for the day. Since it was such a nice day, they went outside. Terry is scheduled to have a CAT scan today at Henry Memorial Hospital. It is right next door to the nursing home. There were plans to take him their by ambulance, but Terry and Lynn decided to walk there instead. They left around 12:30 pm for the appointment. It was scheduled for 1:15 pm. It was a beautiful day and they thought they could wait at the hospital (no different than waiting at the nursing home). It was fairly easy on the way there (downhill). They had no problems and arrived early. Terry went back for the CAT scan at his scheduled time. They will get the results sometime next week. After finishing with the appointment, they started back to the nursing home. It was UPHILL all the way. They stopped to rest for a few minutes about halfway back to the nursing home. They felt like they had accomplished something on their own (the independence felt good). The rest of the day was quiet.
