Day 7 - February 20, 2007 Tuesday

Terry had his final surgery today. It didn't start until around 4 or 4:30. All of the family got there earlier because it was suppose to start earlier. In his ICU room prior to the surgery, the doctors gathered. One of them said that Terry was healing amazingly well. The surgery was scheduled for 4.5 to 5.5 hours. They put the plates and pins in his pelvis and arm. They also finished closing up his amputated leg. When the doctor came out after the surgery he said that everything had gone well. He said that they had to reattached the external fixator because it had become loose. He also checked Terry's previous surgery sites and said they looked good. Terry didn't make it back up to his ICU room until around 10:30 or so.
