Day - 61 April 15, 2007 Sunday

Lynn talked to a good friend (who does assisted/nursing home type care). She helped Lynn to calm down and reconsider the idea of bringing Terry home ASAP. Lynn realized that she was being a bit premature in thinking his was ready. He needs to progress further before he can come home. When Lynn got to HH, she relayed that conversation with Terry and they both tried to settle down. The nurses, etc. aren't in charge of procedures (like chairs, transfers, filling prescriptions, etc), and they do seem to be good people. In addition to drinking more today, they are also trying to work on getting him to eat a little more. She has been encouraging him to eat just a few bites at a time but very often. He feels like he could handle cereal that way, so they will try it. Well the eating went fairly well at first but fell apart too early (try again tomorrow). Lynn went home with a much better attitude today - this will only be for a time and then he will be able to go home.
