Day 36 - March 21, 2007 Wednesday

Lynn meet with the builder doing the remodeling of the master bath this morning. They did some measuring and talked about the requirements for a wheelchair safe bathroom. She had a couple sheets from a physical therapist that described a few things needed. When she finally got to the hospital that day, Terry was dressed, shaved, and had his smell goods on. He still had a beard on his neck (can't get to that yet because of trach) but it was a great improvement. He even did the shaving himself! Debby Knox came again for another segment on Terry. This one was strictly while he was doing PT. They also interviewed his therapist. Debby mentioned that she would like to do a segment when Terry is at home with the girl - Amanda Garrison - he stopped to help. During therapy today, he sat on the edge of therapy table (he calls it the Grand Canyon) all by himself for ten seconds. YEAH!!! He supported himself with his right arm. The PT girls positioned him, and then let go keeping their hands right by him. Terry and Lynn had all of their meals outside of his room today. He spent ten hours in the wheelchair today. He had several visitors today. One even came to cut his hair (one of his son's arranged for the lady who cuts his hair to come up). She did a great job. Terry felt so much better after that.
