Day 62 - April 16, 2007 Monday

Terry had PT today. The therapists started getting to know Terry. They worked on transfers, arm strengthening, left arm ranging, etc. Terry and Lynn are looking forward to working with them. He has had a lot of nausea today. They are hoping and praying that he will get over this soon. He is not eating or drinking nearly enough. They talked to the nurse practitioner and she suggested Reglan. Lynn believes they have tried that before but it can't hurt to try it again. They have also asked about a different wheelchair. The one he has only reclines on the back. What he really needs is one that pivots back. The staff is looking into getting a new one. He did get a new bed today - it has an air mattress. It circulates the air all around continuously. It's pretty comfortable (although fairly loud). HH has a couple of pets that live on site - a yellow lab mix named Mellow Yellow and some kind of bird. They seem to be settling in here. Lynn went home in a much better mood today.
