Day 63 - April 17, 2007 Tuesday
Terry has an eye appointment today. He will have to go by ambulance to get there (it is way over on the west side of Indianapolis). They left around 8:30 and got there around 10:15. He was taken in on the gurney for his appointment. They were hoping to get him in a wheelchair in the office. The only kind they had was a straight one and the transfer would have been difficult at best. Finally they decided they should be able to do most of their tests with Terry on the gurney. The doctor used a chart to test his vision and determined his eyesight in his right eye was 20/200 with his glasses. He has been complaining about pain in his right eye socket as well as blurred vision. The doctor could not see anything physically wrong but could not explain the vision loss either. He ordered a CAT scan. They took the ambulance back to HH. They arrived their at 1:45 pm - what a long day! Terry was put back in his bed and he napped. The nursing home tried to get him a different wheelchair but the arm was not removable. So that one would not work. The rest of the day was fairly calm. Lynn stayed late again. They are feeling better about HH as each day goes by but they are just not too comfortable with it yet.
