Day 17 - March 2, 2007 Friday
A room finally opened up in PCU. They started moving Terry around 5 pm. He was sitting in a special chair, so they moved him in that. They had to make two trips to get all his stuff done there. Terry has been in minimal isolation for a few days now, so when his visitors come they have to put on a gown and gloves. He has some type of virus that isn't hurting him or healthy people but it is dangerous to someone with a low immune system. The move was very hard on Terry. As soon as everything was situated, he wanted to be put in his bed. He was shaking for about an hour. Lynn also heard from the doctor today that Terry would need to have the operation on to drain the fluid in his lung cavity. They were also going to scrap some of the scar tissue off of his lungs. They needed to do all this because his lungs were not expanding to their fullest capacity. The doctor was also going to put in some additional drainage tubes to help with draining the fluid after the surgery (he would end up with 3 drainage tubes). This surgery was scheduled for Monday. Terry still isn't thinking clearly but he is showing some signs of improvement.
