Day 27 - March 12, 2007 Monday

PT came to work with Terry. They wanted to sit him on the edge of the bed. He needed his back brace and a little cleaning up; so that was taken care of first. Then PT sat him up on the edge of the bed with support for about one minute. This exercise made him feel very dizzy. Later he said it was like he was on the edge of a very tall cliff - very scary for him. PT checked his right leg and left arm. They said that he was having less movement in his foot and his fingers. Lynn also noticed that he has more swelling in those places too - not sure why. After PT Terry slept. Lynn talked to the nurse for Terry's orthopedic doctor. The nurse said the only thing keeping him from going to the rehab hospital was his chest tubes. Hopefully those will be out within the week and he will be off to the rehab hospital. There was a slight problem getting his pain medication this evening. He finally got it three hours later than the scheduled time. Lynn spent the night at the hospital again.
