Day 22 - March 7, 2007 Wednesday

Terry was feeling better today. The lung surgery really caused a lot of pain for him and wore him out. His mind also seems to be clearing. It is better in the morning. As the day goes on he gets tired, and he becomes less clear-headed. Mark (their pastor) came by today and Terry asked him for some cards with scripture verses on them. Terry wants to be able to focus on them when he is scared. Mark said he would bring them by on Friday. The occupational therapy (OT) staff made a splint for Terry's left arm. They are trying to bet his fingers straighten - the fingers want to curl about halfway. They have been doing some bending and straightening during therapy but he needs more help. He will wear the splint 2 hours on and 2 hours off throughout the day and then all night long. When it is off Lynn continues to work the fingers. Physical therapy (PT) wanted Terry to sit on the edge of the bed but he put them off for awhile. All in all it was a pretty normal day.
